Wow! We had a great week.  We did lots of testing for report cards and I am so proud of how well this class is doing.  The students were also focused and diligent as they completed the tests.

I can’t wait to meet with each of you and brag about your student! If you have not signed up for a conference time, please do so.  I would really love to meet with each of you. A link to the sign ups is in the weekly email.

Boise Art Museum came to our classroom and taught a lesson this week!  We learned about collections and what a collection of art is.  The students used clay to make their own collections.  The collections were sent home with the students on Friday, I hope they made it home safely!

Halloween is upon us this week.  Please do not send candy with your child for snack time.  Our Journey to the Center of the Earth Celebration is on Tuesday.  Details about the party are below!

October 31st Book Celebration/Party
On October 31st your student may dress up like a character/animal/thing from the book Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Vern.  Simple homemade costumes are wonderful!  Please be creative and fun!  I sent an email before Fall Break with a few ideas to get you started.  Truly, anything is fine as long as it meets school modesty standards and has to do with the book.
Our party will be from 1:05 pm-2:15 pm on October 31st.  The students will rotate around four stations doing crafts and activities at each station.  I would like to have at least one parent at each station.  I have one parent for each center, but would love to have more.  If you would like to come help, let me know!

Needs
-We are going through Band-aids very quickly in our classroom.  If you are able to donate a box of regular bandages to our classroom I would really appreciate it!
-We could also use yellow highlighters!
Thank you!
