Please remember to have your child return his/her Weekly Reading Log tomorrow to school.  This Reading Log is for a grade for report cards.

Your child will also bring home his/her weekly Home Fluency Reading Folder tomorrow.  The instructions are included inside this folder.

Reminder:

Tuesday, September 19th is Talk Like a Pirate Day.  This day is celebrated the world over by pirate enthusiasts who dress and talk like a pirate all day long.  Our classroom will also celebrate this day in that students can wear pirate costumes which are school appropriate and meet modesty guidelines (no face coverings, although eye patches may be worn on the forehead, no weapons etc.)  There will be no party on this day.  We will be working hard on our daily curriculum, we will just be learning as pirates do! Arrrrrr!

OCTOBER BOOK:

The School-wide book for October will be Journey to the Center of the Earth. I will send more information at a later date concerning the classroom celebrations focusing on this book.  I wanted to give parents plenty of time to plan, because all costumes must tie to this book.

SPELLING

Your child will take his/her Spelling and Phonogram Tests that will be graded Tuesday.  These words and phonograms came home with your child last Tuesday and I emailed them to all my parents as well.  Please encourage your child to study for these tests.  They are as follows:
